OBJECTIVES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE & COMM. DEVELOPMENT
The principal objective of the Social Welfare and Community Development Class is to promote and implement government policies and public services aimed at significantly enhancing social inclusion and the development of individuals and communities. This involves:
- Advocating for Inclusive Policies: Ensuring that government policies are designed to include all members of society, particularly marginalized and vulnerable groups.
- Community Development Programs: Implementing initiatives that support the growth and development of communities, such as education, healthcare, and economic development projects.
- Public Services Enhancement: Improving the quality and accessibility of public services to meet the needs of diverse populations.
- Empowerment and Capacity Building: Providing resources and training to empower individuals and communities to actively participate in their own development.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Continuously assessing the impact of policies and programs to ensure they are effective and making necessary adjustments.
By focusing on these areas, the class aims to create a more inclusive and equitable society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
