Audit Exit Conference Held for January–September 2025 Financial Year

An Audit Exit Conference was held on 16th December, 2025 at the DCE’s Office, following the completion of the annual audit assignment covering the period from January 2025 to September 2025. The exercise was conducted to review the Assembly’s financial records and assess compliance with approved financial and accounting procedures.

The audit team undertook a comprehensive examination of the books and related financial documents as part of their annual statutory mandate. The exit conference provided an opportunity for management and the auditors to formally engage after the completion of the fieldwork.

During the meeting, the District Chief Executive (DCE) expressed appreciation to the audit team for their diligence, professionalism, and commitment throughout the audit process. The DCE acknowledged the importance of the audit exercise in strengthening financial management systems and promoting accountability and transparency within the Assembly.

The auditors, in their presentation, outlined key observations identified during the review period. These observations covered areas of financial control, record-keeping, and compliance with existing financial regulations. The auditors also provided explanations and recommendations aimed at improving financial operations and preventing future irregularities.

A question-and-answer session followed the presentation, allowing management and relevant officers to seek clarification on the observations raised. Responses were provided by the auditors, and management offered explanations where necessary, assuring the meeting of its commitment to addressing the issues identified.

Tolon District Assembly Convenes Ordinary Meeting Ahead of 2026 Working Year

The Tolon District Assembly held an Ordinary Meeting, which took place on Wednesday, 10th December 2025, at the District Assembly’s Conference Hall. The meeting started at 10:00 a.m. and brought together Assembly Members, Heads of Departments, and key development stakeholders.

Proceedings began with the call to order, roll-call, and opening remarks from the Presiding Member. The Hon. District Chief Executive also delivered an address outlining key priorities and updates for the district. Members read, corrected, and adopted minutes from the previous meeting and discussed matters arising.

Members further deliberated on the District Chief Executive’s address and considered recommendations from the Executive Committee.

The meeting ended with appreciation for members’ participation and a call for continued commitment as the district advances into the 2026 operational year.

Swiss Ambassador donates furniture to Tolon District Schools

The Ambassador of Switzerland to Ghana paid an official visit to the Tolon District on November 20, 2025. The visit was to donate a total of 64 dual desks made from recycled plastic materials to two schools in the district.

The donation was facilitated by Pamepi Women in Tech Ghana, an NGO.

In honor of the ambassador, the chief of Tolon organized a traditional ceremony to enskin her with the royal title “Zoosim Naa”.

The Hon. District Chief Executive thanked the Ambassador and the NGO for collaborating to support the district. He assured that his office will work to strengthen relations that have been establish between the district and the people of Switzerland.

For his part, the Chief Director of the Northern Regional Coordinating Council, who represented the Hon. Regional Minister also commended the embassy for the gesture and looked forward to improved relation between Ghana and Switzerland.
