GMACP to construct 3 roads in Tolon

The Ghana Market Access and Connectivity Project (GMACP) is a world bank and Government of Ghana project that would undertake construction of feeder roads linking farmlands and markets. A team from the project visited Tolon DA to inform of the selection of a total 31.0km network of roads for construction.

They are:

Wantugu – Kasuliyili -Jegbo 12.30km

Tolon – Yipelgu 7.20km

Gbulahagu Jn – Nyankpala 5.5km

Wantugu – Tamalgu 6km

Contractors are expected to mobilize to site latest November 2026.

Tolon District Assembly Holds First Ordinary Meeting of Third Session

The Tolon District Assembly successfully held its First Ordinary Meeting of the Third Session at the District Assembly Conference Hall in Tolon on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

The meeting brought together Assembly Members, Heads of Departments, and other key stakeholders to discuss matters relating to the development and administration of the district.

Among the key items considered were the District Chief Executive’s Sessional Address, reports from the Executive Committee and the Public Relations and Complaints Committee (PRCC), as well as discussions on issues arising from previous meeting. Members also deliberated on various matters aimed at improving service delivery and promoting the socio-economic development of the district.

The Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening local governance, enhancing accountability, and working collaboratively to address the needs and aspirations of residents across the district.
