Accounting to the people

Here’s a revised version that reflects the actual purpose of the programme:

On 9th May 2026, the Tolon District Assembly organized its “Accounting to the People” programme at the Savanna Agricultural Research Institute (SARI), Nyankpala, to inform residents about the Assembly’s development activities, ongoing projects, and achievements across the district.

The programme was attended by the Hon. Regional Minister, the Regional Coordinating Director (Chief Director), the Hon. District Chief Executive, Assembly Members, Traditional Chiefs, Opinion Leaders, Youth Groups, Heads of Departments, staff of the Tolon District Assembly, and residents from communities throughout the district.

The event provided an opportunity for the Assembly to present an overview of key projects implemented, ongoing development initiatives, and the progress made in improving infrastructure and public services. It also highlighted how government resources have been utilized to promote the socio-economic development of the district.

Participants were given the opportunity to engage with Assembly officials by asking questions, providing feedback, and sharing suggestions on issues affecting their communities. The programme reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and active citizen participation in local governance.

The Tolon District Assembly remains committed to delivering sustainable development and ensuring that residents are kept informed about projects and initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life across the district.
