Tolon District Assembly Holds First Official Meeting Under New DCE

In his address, the DCE expressed gratitude for the warm reception and emphasized his commitment to serving the people, leaving a lasting impact on the district. He urged staff to maintain a neutral stance, refraining from exhibiting political affiliations in the office and avoiding actions that could hinder the district’s development.

The DCE highlighted key areas of focus, including punctuality, productivity, and diligent work ethic. He encouraged staff to lead by example, ensuring their subordinates emulate their work habits. He also addressed concerns regarding office accommodation and transportation, advising staff not to use transportation problems as an excuse for tardiness.

The DCE announced plans to improve and expand revenue mobilization, including opening a new market at Lingbunga; a community within the district. He emphasized the need for innovative thinking to increase revenue.

Members raised concerns about office equipment, working tools, and the need for improved working environments. The DCE and management acknowledged these challenges and committed to addressing them.

The District Coordinating Director assured the DCE of their dedication to serving without bias, regardless of political affiliations. The DCE thanked staff for their participation and commitment to improving the district’s performance.

The meeting concluded with an announcement that performance contract assessments would be conducted within the month, further emphasizing the administration’s focus on accountability and productivity.
